For this assignment we had to watch or read some tutorials regarding photoshop, studying them and trying to duplicate them. At the end, these are the results. Before BeforeAfter BeforeAfter

For this assignment we had to take a picture of the school, and then photoshop it to change the context, and create crazy creative effects. This is the result; enjoy. Original PhotoEdited PictureHere there is some samples of pictures I used for making this:
For this assignment we had to decide a topic and take pictures of that. In this case I decided to focus on Nature. Peace, balance, life, messages. This is what I tried to capture. Best PictureSettings: f3.2; Shutter speed 1/60s; ISO 100 No retouching was made into this photo. These are the pictures that I took for the third assignment: Nature. With each one of these photos I'm trying to bring the viewer inside the picture.
From a dark place into the woods, from a landscape of a great mountain, the viewer find himself inside the picture. What I learned: thanks to this assignment I now know better how to take pictures of nature. Even if you can't see any photo, I tried capturing some animals, and that gave me some experience for future times. Large aperture, particular perspectives: it's all about this. The pictures you now see are the results of hours of work. For this assignment we had to decide a topic and take pictures of that. In this case I decided to focus on Still Nature. Peace, balance, life, messages. This is what I tried to capture. Best PictureSettings: f2.7; Shutter speed 1/8s; ISO 100 I photoshopped a bit the picture, by turning up a bit brightness and color saturation. These are the pictures that i took for the second assignment: Still nature. I was trying to communicate a message with each one of these photographs.
Only the healthiest ones, kings queens or aces, deserve to stay at the top, full of money and glory. If you're a 3 of hearths, or just a pawn you stay on the ground, face downwards. What I learned: thanks to this assignment I now know better how to take pictures in low light situations, like a room inside my home, and setting up the ''stage'' for the picture. I tried several angles, different lighting and settings of the board. Other than that I tried giving meaning to the picture, beyond pure aesthetics. At the beginning I struggled getting the light right, since it was quite dark in the room. I also trained using the selection tool, that we tried for the first time in the Car Assignment, in order to take out the background in the second picture. I also tried to turn some photo in black and white, and see the results. The one above are the results of my work. I was born and raised in a city right below the mountains. During my whole life the mountains were there, in the horizon, and with their massive presence they protected me.
Now I hope to capture a landscape as beautiful, as familiar as the mountains I've grown up with. Capture their presence, strength and balance. This time I decided to focus on people, emotion, stories. Each one of these pictures tell a tale, each one communicate a feeling. While watching the picture we can understand what is going on in their mind, what they are thinking, doing.
That's exactly what I am trying to accomplish. Not only capturing a picture, but a whole story. For this assignment we had to decide a topic and take pictures of that. In this case I decided to focus to people: at my cross country meet I decided to capture the life of the event. The life of the people. Best picture:Settings: f5.0; Shutter speed 1/640s; ISO 100 I photoshopped a bit the picture, by turning up a bit brightness and color saturation. These are the pictures that I take for the first assignment: people. Every photo tells a different story. The hard work and the struggling of the competition. The focus before the race. The happiness of a first place. Helping the teammates. Seeing the finish line. What I learned: thanks to this assignment I now know better how to take pictures of people, with better framing and better settings. At the beginning I really struggled with the setting; I either took really blurry bright photos or really dark ones. When I finally adjusted to the environment the pictures started coming out good, sharp, and full of life.
For this assignment we had to work with photoshop in order to obtain a Warhol effect modifying a picture of ourselves
The first picture is the final result; the second one is the original photo, that got later cropped and modified. When I finished with my face photoshop, I started doing my dog, with some creative freedom; that's the result. Thanks to this assignment I learned the Hue/Saturation tool, along with a better understanding of the crop tool, layer management , filters and canvas resizing . In this assignment we had to take four different picture of the same subject changing the settings of the camera; in particular, changing shutter speed and the aperture. The first lets light enter the camera by keeping the camera lenses open for different amount of time. The aperture open the lenses more or less, in a way that less or more light can enter and changing the depth of field. These are the results Shutter speed The first picture captures and freezes the motion, with a shutter speed of 1/800s. While we proceed, the image becomes more and more blurry, we go through 1/400, 1/100 and 1/50. The aperture was changed as well to compensate the amount of light. ApertureIn this section you can see the difference in the aperture value: from up to bottom it goes f2.8; f4; f5.6; f8. We can see how the branch and the leaves get sharper and sharper with every increased aperture value. The shutter speed was too changed to maintain a decent lighting.
